Upcoming Event Info
Below is a list for 2013 for both Downtown sponsored events and events in the downtown through other organizations that the association may be participating in.
You will find information reflecting various stages of development along with sign-up sheets and contact information for events. The information will change as the process evolves for each event, so please check this page often and use as a resource for your marketing plans.
Volunteers are one of our most valuable assets. If you would like to volunteer to help with any of these projects, please contact Barb Frederick, Exec. Director of PADA at 457-9614 or email director@portangelesdowntown.com You do not need to be a downtown business or a member of PADA to get involved, we always have the need for helping hands and guarantee that you'll have some fun along the way.
CRUISE SHIP SCHEDULE FOR 2012

APRIL
THE SECOND STORY STORY--April 13
The fourth annual, award winning Second Story Story event will be Saturday, April 13th. The public will be invited to come down and tour through six downtown buildings and see what is in spaces other than at street level. They will get a chance to see what is often missed and unseen by most of the people as they walk or drive by every day.
MAY
CLEAN SWEEP--May 4
MUSTANG CLUB SHOW AND SHINE--May 5
A ROYAL TEA--MAY 11
GIRLS NIGHT OUT--May 17
It’s everybody’s favorite time of year – Girls Night Out Island Style Thursday may 16th 4-8 pm
Because of overwhelming sales and very quick sell outs the past 2 years there will be 250 goodie bags offered for sale this year and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the PA Food Bank. They will be available at Olympic Stationers, Odyssey Bookshop, Steppin’ Out Salon, Cottage Queen, Necessities & Temptations, Cabled Fiber Studio, Sassy Kat Salon & Boutique, Anime Kat & Smugglers Landing
Beads are still available, but this year they will go on necklaces, rather than bracelets.
Be thinking about how you can participate – dust off the grass skirt or Hawaiian print shirts, bring in the flamingos and lawn chairs and have a great time. What about sunglasses or flip flops for the bags? There be leis (of course) in the bags, ask your sales reps if they might have something you could get inexpensively. Think fun!
