You Are An Absolute Angel!

A Bit of History ...

In 1791, Don Francisco deEiza sailed the San Carlos into the Strait of Juan de Fuca,
saw a natural seawall jutting out several miles from the mainland and dropped anchor
inside its deep,sheltered harbor.

He declared it to be Spanish territory, then christened it "Puerto de Nuestra
de Senora de Los Angelos, or Port of Our Lady of the Angels.  One year later
another Spaniard, Alcala-Galiano, shortened the name to Port Angeles.

What are Community Angels?  Members of the community outside the Downtown
PBIA district that realize the value of the work that the Downtown Association
is doing in revitalizing the "heart" of the community through the Main Street
approach using Design, Promotion, Organization and Economic Restructuring theory
as our guide.  Their generosity through membership in the Association is an
investment in Downtown and the future of the community.  We appreciate their
support of our efforts!
